Our History
Bob Thompson had a vision back in 1957, this vision was to build a business with his children and service the community. He started with 1 bulldozer and a lot of blood, sweat and tears. With the help of his wife Elaine, he slowly created what we today call Thompson’s Sand & Gravel. Until 1986 Thompson’s Sand & Gravel was based out of Bob’s house in Exeland, but due to the future growth in the Hayward area he decided to make Hayward his home base.
Who do we serve?
First and foremost, it’s the community where we are based in that makes us who we are today. Our employees are from the Hayward area. But we are not limited to Hayward only; we will go as far as we need to satisfy our customers.
What is our goal?
Our goal is simple…
